This course is for the student who wants to learn advanced web site programming techniques using contemporary development tools and languages. Concepts relating to server-side programming are explored.

This is a VERY intensive course, but I believe you will get a lot out of it if you can stick with it. I designed this course to be a practical and hands-on approach to what a web developer might be expected to do, albiet on a smaller scale.

This course requires that you own very specific software. Most of the Microsoft operating systems will serve. The only exception I can think of at the moment is Windows XP Home Edition. If this is all you have, you will NOT be able to do all the work necessary in this course, because it does not support Personal Web Server (PWS). PWS is required in order to test the the first portion of the course.

Also, the modules do not follow a weekly schedule. Most modules are two weeks long. This is to allow you time to complete the work. It is up to you to make every effort to keep to a rigorous schedule.
